Reservations
Materials may be checked out any time the Resource Center is open, but you may also reserve materials up to six weeks in advance. Call the Program Resource Center at 770-702-9100  The materials you reserve will be available in the Resource Center for two days beyond your pickup date; after that they will be returned to general circulation

Pickup/Check Out and Deposits
When coming to pick up a Treasure Box, please allow up to 15 minutes to go through the kit with a staff person to make sure all supplies are in the kit.

For each item you check out, a deposit for the replacement value plus $10 is required.  You may pay this deposit with a personal or troop check or with VISA, MasterCard or American Express. Your check or credit card information will be held until the materials are returned. No charges on credit cards are run unless the item is lost or is not returned with one month of the due date.

Renewals
Materials may be renewed one time, usually for two more weeks. Renewals may be requested by phone, by e-mail, or in person.  If the items are not already on reserve for the next checkout period, they will be renewed.

Returns
Materials are due back the last day of the reservation. If you or your troop need more time with materials, call the Resource Center to ask if they may be renewed (see above.)  If a problem arises (a family emergency, for example) and you will not be able to return your materials on time, please call the Resource Center (404-527-7672) as another troop may be waiting and must be notified. We will always try to work with you if you let us know there is a problem.

When returning Treasure Boxes, please allow time to check the kit in with a staff member. You will not be held responsible for items that are used up, worn out, or have minor damages. The check-in helps the Resource Center ensure that items are replaced for the next troop.  Treasure Boxes with several missing items or unusual wear/damage  will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Returns by mail or shipper  Materials may always be returned by mail, etc., regardless of how they were originally received. U.S. Mail, UPS, FedEx, etc., may be used to return items at the borrower's expense.  Please package items securely and safely; you are responsible for replacing items damaged because of improper packaging.

PLEASE RETURN MATERIALS CLEAN AND DRY!

Late Fees
There is a "grace period" of three business days after the date that materials are due. After that late fees of 20¢ per item, per business day will be charged.

For overdue items returned by mail or shipper, fines are assessed for the time after the "grace period" through the postmarked date on the returned items.

Payment of late fees should be made when materials are returned.  Late fees may be paid by cash, check, or may be deducted from the borrower's credit card account, at the discretion of the staff.
